Murukku recipe 


Ingredients used in this recipe are:

2 cup murukku flour (1 & half cup rice flour and half cup urad dal flour)
2 tsp ghee 
1 tsp asafoetida 
2 tsp white sesame seed 
1 cup Water 
Salt 
Oil

Procedure 

1. In a mixing bowl Add 2 cup murukku flour, Add 2 tsp ghee and mix it well.

2. In a separate bowl Add water, 1 tsp asafoetida and 2 tsp white sesame seed mixture it.

3. Now combine both murukku flour and mixed water together, add required water and knead a dough.

4. Now take a chakli maker(murukku mould), grease with oil.

5. Form a cylindrical shape out of dough and fill it in a chakli maker.

6. Close the chakli make and start preparing thenkuzhal murukku.

7. In a spoon grease some oil, which helps in preparing murukku with out any mess. Slowly begin to press chakli maker release the dough and make a spiral. 

8. Heat the oil in a kadai.

9. Now carefully drop the murukku in the oil, when bubbles reduce take the murukku out and do the same for remaining dough.
